Models of Agape Love
Jesus has always been the Perfect Model of Living as an Agape Lover. He lived in a family setting where His parents plunged themselves into the ocean of God’s power.
Through God’s Word we know His mother modeled total surrender to God’s will by her response “Be it done to me according to His (God’s) word”. Other scriptures validate her as The Woman in God’s holy plan.
Seraphic angels surround God’s throne in worshipful loving adoration.
Each century had its own men and women, models of living in agape love. The call of Jesus has resounded in the hearts of many who chose to respond to the desires of Jesus’ Heart. His Heavenly Father through the message of Jesus made us hear God’s hope for His children to love Him with their whole heart, whole soul, whole mind and whole strength.
Examples of this love union with Jesus are St John the Beloved Apostle and Evangelist, St. Catherine of Siena, St. Francis of Assisi, St. Margaret Mary, St. Mary Magdalene, St. Mary of Bethany, St. Therese of Lesieux, Mother Theresa, Pope John Paul II, and many others of our own day.
